Bible prophecy is marching on right before our very eyes!
The other day (Saturday), 27 leaders of the European Union (EU) gathered in Rome to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Treaties of Rome, creating the European Economic Community (EEC) — the precursor of the EU — and the European Atomic Energy Community (EURATOM).
On the eve of this summit, the EU leaders had an audience with the Pope to seek his blessing as they planned to issue and sign a declaration on the future of the EU. Pope Francis preached on the need for a strong vision and solidarity.
The Pope: “The only moral authority” for Europe
One pro-EU think-tank official [Yves Bertoncini, director of the Jacques Delors Institute (JDI)] said, with Barack Obama gone from the White House, the head of the Catholic Church was the “only moral authority” European politicians had left to follow.
It may be recalled that Pope Francis was awarded the Charlemagne Prize on May 6 last year. This prize is awarded to people who are seen to have furthered the cause of European unification.
According to an article written by Eric Maurice for the EUobserver, Pope Francis’s “insight will be extremely important for Europe’s future,” said Maltese prime minister Joseph Muscat last February 27, while criticizing the EU’s “lack of leadership.”
“Pope Francis is the ultimate world leader who has the skills and vision to say things that transcend banalities,” Muscat said at a think tank forum in Valletta, Malta, organized by the Jacques Delors Institute (JDI) [emphasis added].
The Social-Democratic PM, whose country holds the current EU presidency, added that the Roman Catholic leader may “provide things other politicians miss.”
He said that EU leaders were “looking for ideas” on how to address the migration crisis and there was “evidence that there is a lack of international leadership” to solve the crisis.
The Bible prophesies a seventh and final revival of the old Holy Roman Empire — a future superpower in Europe — a confederacy of ten nations. It will be an unholy alliance of church and state, a religious and political tandem that will dominate the world for a short time before Christ returns to earth:
The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.
What a “multi-speed Europe” really means
Muscat also said that the EU needs to “go ahead with multi-speed Europe.”
“If the only way of staying united is doing nothing,” then some EU member states should integrate further to be able to act, he noted.
He said that with “the composition and structure” of today’s EU, a multi-speed Europe was needed when it comes to security and social issues.
Muscat’s comment is the latest among EU leaders, including Juncker and Merkel, about a multi-speed Europe.
At a summit in Valletta in early February, German chancellor Angela Merkel noted that “that there will be an EU with different speeds [and] that not everyone will take part in the same levels of integration.”
European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker has said that EU states which wanted deeper integration should press ahead in core groups in reaction to the UK’s departure.
“We can do many things together, but this is no longer a time when we can imagine everyone doing the same thing together,” he said at a speech in the Louvain-la-Neuve university in Belgium on last February 23.
This will fulfill prophecy, that predicts a Europe that won’t be truly united:
Whereas you saw the feet and toes, partly of potter’s clay and partly of iron, the kingdom shall be divided; yet the strength of the iron shall be in it, just as you saw the iron mixed with ceramic clay. And as the toes of the feet were partly of iron and partly of clay, so the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly fragile. As you saw iron mixed with ceramic clay, they will mingle with the seed of men; but they will not adhere to one another, just as iron does not mix with clay.
These events have been predicted 60 years ago!
What is most interesting is that these events, including Brexit, has been predicted by The Plain Truth magazine, a predecessor of BiblicalTruths.com. Note what was written in the April 1957 issue, shortly after the signing of the Treaty of Rome:
Prophecy was fulfilled in a meeting I attended the other night here in London! Plans were made. A campaign was launched … As my wife and I beheld the launching of this movement — already pledged to co-operate with similar movements on the European continent — I realized that this entire scheme was destined to evolve into the prophesied “beast” of Revelation 17. Yes, this movement — working now with many others — is laboring feverishly in an attempt to bring about a United States of Europe!
~Roderick Meredith, The Prophesied “Beast” Looms Up!
Talking about Britain’s involvement with Europe, the same article continues:
True to their nature, the British are proving to be the most slow and stubborn people to sell on this idea [they later joined in 1973]. But as we have seen, a large-scale propaganda campaign is now being waged to win them over … However, make no mistake about it, the British will NOT go all the way on complete unification with other European nations, and will probably pull out of any “Free Trade Area” agreement before this leads to the ultimate goal of complete unification. Prophecy says that Britain will NOT be in the final United States of Europe … Rather this European Empire is almost certain to be dominated by a revived, aggressive, rearmed GERMANY!
~Roderick Meredith, The Prophesied “Beast” Looms Up!
Prophetic words indeed. To think that these words were penned 60 years ago! Truly there is a God in heaven, who knows the future far in advance.
In an article written three days ago, the former British deputy prime minister Michael Heseltine has said that Brexit lets Germany become dominant in Europe “as if it won the war.” The Tory peer said it is “quite unacceptable” for Germany to be in a dominant position in Europe, having lost the Second World War.
In a member and co-worker letter written on April 25, 1957, the publisher and editor-in-chief of The Plain Truth magazine wrote:
Do you realize that the “UNITED STATES OF EUROPE” we’ve been telling the world about is already started? On March 17th, the French Premier [Guy] Mollet called for the creation of a UNITED EUROPE! It is to serve as a third force between the United States and Russia. The pact has been signed breaking down trade barriers between European nations, and bringing about a certain unification in commerce and industry. This is the first actual start toward the emergence of the “BEAST” of Rev. 17!
~Herbert W. Armstrong
How did The Plain Truth magazine get it right? Superior intelligence? No.
Only the living God can accurately predict world events. And He gives wisdom and understanding to His servants who are completely yielded to Him:
Remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, “My counsel shall stand, and I will do all My pleasure…
When we see these things happening, what should our reaction be? Should we be afraid? Well, if we are still living in sin, yes, we should be afraid — because God’s judgment is coming on this disobedient world (Ephesians 5:6; Colossians 3:6).
We must REPENT — or stop breaking God’s laws — while there is still time. We must turn to Christ in faith so that He can cleanse and forgive us of all our sins.
Time is short. We need to make sure that our relationship is right with God. Then, we won’t have anything to fear.
Now when these things begin to happen, look up and lift up your heads, because your redemption draws near.

So, I understand why you are anti-Catholic. Trust me, I know.
However, I am curious why you call your blog “Biblical Truths”. Where does the Bible teach that Scripture alone is the final authority? If EVERYTHING you believe must come from ONLY the Bible, then the Bible must say somewhere that the Bible alone is your authority. Do you have a Bible verse to support this and this entire blog? Or, maybe it is just a tradition of men started with Martin Luther.
We are not anti-Catholic. We are pro-TRUTH. It so happens that much of what passes as popular “Christianity” today — Catholicism, Protestantism (which came out of her), etc. — is rooted in man-made philosophy, false religion, and ancient paganism.
I would encourage you to go DEEP into the history of Catholicism. Look at the fruits. Open your eyes and you will see what I mean. The only true GOD — not the Pope or any pastor or minister — is our final authority. The Bible, the Holy Scriptures, IS the very Word of God! Please read 2 Timothy 3:16. Christ affirmed the authority of the Scriptures in John 10:35. He even said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by EVERY word that proceeds from the mouth of God” (Matthew 4:4, Luke 4:4).
While Martin Luther paid lip service to Sola scriptura (Latin phrase for “by Scripture alone”), he and his followers do not really follow this tenet to the letter. For example, most Protestants worship on Sunday and believe many false and unbiblical doctrines such as the Trinity, Easter, Good Friday, an ever-burning hell fire, and more.
We call our blog Biblical Truths because GOD (and His Bible) is our final authority.
How about you? What is your authority?
